The structure of the Council of Visions is made up of Councils, in which people who have common interests meet in order to weave networks, share experiences, projects and delve into specific areas.
The Councils are not always the same, they are organized according to the needs of the place where it takes place, the interests of the local community and the host organizing group. Those who have been convened for the XVI Council of Visions “El Abrazo del Amate” are:
MOTHER EARTH COUNCIL
ART AND CULTURE COUNCIL
COUNCIL OF WORLDVIEWS
Every morning all the participants meet in a plenary that is facilitated by the Rainbow Council. There they communicate and resolve issues that concern the operation of the ecovillage, information is provided on issues that interest us, we do dynamics, we discuss the common projects that we are carrying out, in particular sustainable settlements, legally formalize the rights of Mother Earth and ecological works with a bioregional perspective. In the plenaries stories are told about these twenty years of tribal coexistence.
PARTICIPATORY DECISION-MAKING PROCESS
We will put into practice facilitation and group decision making through different processes, such as the passing of the speaking baton, sociocracy and consensus. As we go we report to learn how to use these tools. Consensus, properly understood and applied, allows meetings to be more productive, efficient, respectful and reach agreements from which we are all responsible and benefit.
Men's and Women's Circles
At some point during the week we meet separately to reflect and share visions about fatherhood-motherhood, personal development, coexistence and mutual understanding, sexuality, nature and communication.
Within the framework of indigenous traditions, the temascales, the greeting to the addresses and the ceremonial fire are daily practices in the Council of Visions. In the spirit of learning, understanding, offering and purification, each tradition present may come to the Council of Tradition to request time and space to share their own teachings and ceremonies with the participants who wish to do so.
CELEBRATION, ART AND CULTURE
The Art and Culture Council is in charge of organizing workshops, conferences, and channeling and integrating the art proposals that arise during the event. Put on a program that can include dance, music, poetry, circus arts, and comedy. Preference is given to purposeful and conscientious art under the slogan "art as an agent of change."
The last day of the event will consist of an artistic festival open to the local public.
If you have any activity proposal, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch with the person in charge of the corresponding Council.
